"Little" Brother | Throwback | DTSJ | June 18, 2011

When I look at this picture, I get jealous sometimes that my brother gets to write and produce more music these days. I don't know how he finds the time with work, a wife, and two kids, but I know that I did the right thing when I gave him some of my most loved studio equipment. This just opened up the door to a more creative visual outlet for me, and it's been a blessing ever since. So when he told me that he was working on a music profile and needed pictures, it was a win-win for the both of us. He got new pictures, and I got some really good practice with some new DIY light mods! This was one that came out pretty awesome =)

Jen & Matt | Short E-Session | Teaser

Another couple that's a shoe-in in my book of "Awesome!" More to come =)

On 101 North

On my way home from Morgan Hill yesterday and I had to take a picture of this. It isn't often that I get a chance to just snap a picture of...nature. You know how hard it is to look through a viewfinder and drive at the same time? (Ahem...I mean...damn! Can't get out of this one! I hope no police officers read this post).

Erika & Marlon | E-Session | Mission District | San Francisco, CA

After meeting Erika through a friend of mine, the simple banter I had with her and Marlon over coffee and sports made this couple another shoe-in in my book of "Awesome!"

Upon meeting each other when they were 16, their love came full circle. The Mission told their story from the church they met to the rest of the colorful district. So why not shoot where they both grew up? With so much in common and a penchant for hilarity, Erika and Marlon didn't fail to put a smile on my face!

Yet again, I totally wish that I could be the one to shoot their wedding! Now, how do I find a way to Nicaragua...?

Erica wanted to shoot on July 20th to honor her sister's passing. It was important to her and her mother (whom she had brought to the session) that I try to get a picture of the necklace that her sister gave her before she passed. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get a shot of the script that was on there, but some steady hands and a deep breath, I think it turned out alright =).

Bella Dar Rosete | Four Years Later...

This time 4 years ago, God gave me the best blessing and challenge of my life. At 7 pounds and 11 ounces, I was given the wittiest, craziest (albeit frustrating at times), smartest, and most beautiful little girl ever!

Happy Birthday to my Bella Bear!
